South San Francisco

Known for its wooded hills, views of the San Francisco Bay, and stretches of open space, Belmont is a quiet residential community in the midst of the culturally and technologically rich Bay Area. Many fine homes built at the turn of the nineteenth century still stand, including Ralston Hall, built by Bank of California founder William Ralston and currently part of Notre Dame de Namur University, a Catholic, co-educational school that was the first college in California authorized to grant a bachelor’s degree to women. In addition to having its own CalTrain station, it is also home to the headquarters of Oracle Corporation, close proximity to Highways 101, 280, and 92 makes the city a prime destination for Bay Area professionals.
